A Faith That Works

Faith without works is a dead faith.

  1. Your works reveal the object of your faith. If you want to know what you have faith in, look at your actions. Pretty simple – If you need substance in social situations to loosen you up, faith is in substance and not Jesus. If you only give AFTER all bills paid, faith is in money and not Jesus. If you only help others when it will benefit you, your faith is in your own reputation and not Jesus. If you will only forgive AFTER and apology, your faith is in your own self-righteousness and not Jesus. If you want to know the true object of your faith, check your actions
  1. Your faith in JESUS is revealed in OBEDIENCE. Your actions tell a story, and if you are not living in obedience to Jesus, then what does that say about your faith. If you are consistently willfully disobedient to the way of Jesus, then your faith is in something other than Jesus. Your works don’t save you, but they are proof that you are saved.
