Rest

We were made to rest; to dwell to receive.

Think about Jesus: He was never not resting in the presence of God.
Every miracle, every teaching, every encounter -- From the love of God,
not for the love of God.

He worked hard, but only because he could rest harder.

On the boat in the midst of the storm, he slept! He is frantically awoken
and took authority over the storm. From rest, he moved in power.
YOU ONLY HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THE STORMS YOU CAN
SLEEP THROUGH.

What storm, what valley, what surroundedness in life can resting in God's
goodness and love for you win, where striving and working and doing has
failed?

For every valley there is a staff --- for every enemy there is a table. Not a
sword, not a shield, but a table. Because the wins that matter aren't won
by fighting, they are won by resting.
