Taste And See

1. The Word of God compels you to TASTE and SEE. We have been given his Word to consume for the purpose of transformation – Hebrews 4:12 – it changes you if you’ll let it – DNA of Jesus – Psalm 119:11 – hide the Word to overcome sin – 1 Peter 2:2-3, crave the word to grow up in salvation.

2. The Word of God is both SWEET and SOUR. God’s word is sweet to those that know him, but if you take it in, it should give you a burden for those who don’t know him – if God’s Word doesn’t give you a burden for those who do not know, you are probably not consuming it in a transformational way – part of transformation is when you care more about others than you do about yourself – it should be both sweet and sour – again 2 Corinthians 2:15-16, the aroma of Christ is both death and life – Depends on your perspective.

3. The Word of God compels you to GO and TELL. If you believe that WORD is WAY, TRUTH and LIFE (John 14:6), then you will TELL THE WORLD – Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Matthew 4:19, Acts 4:20 – true transformation brings a burden to bring transformation – Be LOVE, Be PEACE, Be HOPE.  2 Corinthians 5:17-21 – Ambassadors of Reconciliation.
