Hidden Idolatry

What is robbing us of living a life of power/extraordinary God activity? Idolatry is not just about stroking God's "ego" or rebelling against his sovereignty; it is about submitting to something physical that inhibits our ability to sense or reflect the spiritual. Whatever keeps the Kingdom from going wherever we go is idolatry. What is it in your life? You may not know, and that's ok. Our goal today is to help you identify it.

Just on the other side of paying the price you won't pay, is your richest life, your most powerful life, the life that exceeds any dreams you could have had. Financial, unconfessed sin that you swore you would never tell anyone, the person you swore never to forgive, the conflict with the neighbor down the street you refuse to confront, or even the 20% tip at a restaurant you will never give on principle.  Is any of that worth losing your ability to take the Kingdom of God with you wherever you go?

APPLICATION

Identify hidden idolatry. Is it yesterday? Is it tomorrow? Is it riches or status?

Evaluate the worth of being able to bring the Kingdom EVERYWHERE YOU GO.

What price will you pay? What idols will you uproot to make room for more of the Spirit?

I like to ask this question daily: Lord what could I give today that will move your heart? What simple thing can I do that will have a Kingdom ripple effect?

Whatever God is calling you to - will you do it, and more importantly, will you do it TODAY?

Most will pay SOME price, some will pay a HIGH price, but few are willing to pay ANY price.  Let's be a people that say "I have got to have more, and I will pay any price for it."
