God sent Jesus to bring about peace to you and to me with him.  That’s what that means.  When the prophecy is fulfilled and Isaiah 9:6 comes to fruition and the angels start singing about it, you realize that God did not send Jesus to bring some sort of military and political peace to the nation of Israel. You realize that God sent Jesus to bring peace to us and Him.
