You may have given up on Jesus, but he hasn’t given up on you. If you have failed, maybe living in shame, guilt or fear – Jesus still believes in you – remember, Israelites wandered for 40 years just outside Canaan – never missed it, finally entered into it – It’s right there for the taking - Jesus hasn’t given up on you! His purpose for you remains his purpose for you
Jesus doesn’t hold your past against you. Human nature is unforgiveness, grudge holding – Remember, the essence of the gospel is forgiveness – WHILE you were a sinner, Jesus died – IN SPITE of your failure, Jesus died – Not only does he not hold past against, he RESTORES our past into a great hope and future
Jesus has a UNIQUELY DESIGNED PURPOSE for you. No two snowflakes are alike – thumbprint is unique to you – and you have been uniquely designed for a great purpose – stop comparing yourself to anyone else and live into the calling on your life – Peter was called by Jesus to leave a great career as fisherman into church planting – and Peter did the best he could to screw it up – But he made it to Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost, and the rest is history – if he can do it, so can you!
