1. God is sovereign over ALL things. Another way to put it – God is in complete control ALL THE TIME – whether or not you understand the things that God has allowed in your life or not, he is still in control, and working for your good ALWAYS .  Philippians 1:6 – If God is only good when you get your way, then he’s not really very good.

2. God uses evil to defeat evil. Because God is over all things, including Satan, he often gives us over to ourselves, and allows the enemy to inflict pain, torment, and sometimes even death – but again, this is part of God’s justice. God judges sin, and Satan is SIN personified – but remember, ultimately, Satan is under God’s authority and control – he only has the power God gives him.  

3. The enemy was defeated at the cross, and through Jesus, you have the POWER over the enemy. God’s mercy says that anyone who turns from their sin and turns to Jesus is saved, and receives what Jesus calls in Luke 24:49 the “power from on high” – 2 Peter 1:3 you have divine power to live a Godly life – 1 John 4:4 and Luke 10:19-20, the power in you is greater that of the enemy – 2 Timothy 1:7, we have divine power to demolish strongholds – NO FEAR – 2 Timothy 1:7 - POWER
