The Power of Promise
1. God’s promises are affirmative and final. (2 Cor. 1:20) - A promise made is a promise kept. Here are just a few:
- If you will be still, God will fight for you (Exodus 14:14)
- He gives strength to the weary and power to the weak (Isaiah 40:29)
- God is with you in every circumstance (Isaiah 43:2)
- God has great plans for your future (Jeremiah 29:11)
- When you need wisdom, he will give it to you (James 1:5)
- When you confess, God forgives and purifies you (1 John 1:9)
2. God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus.
- When you receive Jesus, you become child of God (John 1:12)
- When you believe in Jesus, you get the Kingdom (John 3:16)
- When you give Jesus your burdens, he gives you peace and rest (Matt. 11:28-30)
- Jesus is ALWAYS with you (Matt. 28:20)
