Here is the reality – We ALL want to know God’s will or PURPOSE in our life, and Paul has given us, in these two verses a formula of sorts to unveil or unleash it – here is the recipe:

1. Live through the lens of God’s mercy. Who you are without God is not pretty – you need Jesus to complete you.
2. Recognize that sacrifice is necessary for transformation. Something in me needs to be sacrificed in order to see the power of Jesus in my life.
3. Living a changed life is a reasonable ask from God in light of what he’s done for you. You’re not doing God any favors by living a counter-cultural life. It’s actually a reasonable response to his mercy. Remember, we don’t worship in order to receive mercy, but BECAUSE we have received mercy.
4. Don’t let the culture mold you. Examine ways you are living in conformity to culture, financially, relationally, socially – Where am I believing that Jesus isn’t enough in my life?
5. Change your mind, ONCE and CONTINUALLY. When the mind changes, actions follow – right belief about God leads to right view of self, trajectory of life changes – DAILY RENEWAL because culture constantly trying to mold us – SPIRIT and WORD

RESULT: Knowing GOD, and HIS WILL– MARK TWAIN –  the two most important days in your life are, the day you were BORN, and the day you discover WHY – Romans 12:1-2
